A finance executive
who builds the structure, then
removes the friction.

Javier presenting to a leadership team

Twenty-five years leading the numbers so the people can make the call.

I am a senior finance officer with twenty-five years across international and domestic business development and the creation of corporate governance structures. My work has a pattern: I am brought into companies that are growing faster than their finance function, and I build the function that should already have been there.

At National Merchants Association I inherited a $70M card-not-present processor with 180 employees and no financial structure. I built the accounting, AP, AR, payroll and purchasing departments, wrote the GAAP-compliance and reporting standards, and cut more than $500K from operating costs.

At Total Merchant Services I built finance for a $170M company and $11B in annual processing volume. Through a new ERP, rolling forecasts, and automated reporting, I cut the month-end close in half and delivered more than $2M in annual savings.

Before that, I spent seven years at Nestlé USA, ending as International Finance Manager with full P&L ownership of a $150M export division covering North and South America, Asia, and the Middle East.

I co-founded Salus Payments and ran it as CFO for eight years, building the plan that scaled it toward $15M in revenue and $150M in annual processing volume. Through Jadafer Inc., I help growing companies build durable finance functions.

I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia and hold an MBA from Pepperdine University - Graziadio Business School along with several certifications in multiple disciplines.

“A CFO who is still doing the reconciliation is a very expensive bookkeeper. The job is the decision, and the decision needs the numbers to already be true.”
